CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has published a new circular regarding CBSE Science Challenge 2025-26 on its official website. Science is connected to our lives and it helps us understand the world around us better. By engaging with this Science subject, students of classes 8 to 10 learn to think, solve problems and make informed decisions. As an initiative to inculcate curiosity, inquiry and higher level thinking in class 8 to 10 students, the CBSE education board organises CBSE Science Challenge for students of classes VIII to X.

The CBSE Science challenge will be available on the official CBSE platform in April-May 2025. The theme of CBSE Science Challenge 2025-26 = Science, Environment and Sustainability.

Details of the CBSE Science Challenge for Year 2025-26

This science challenge for class 8 to 10 students will be conducted in two rounds – Intra-school and Inter-school.

There is no fee for students of classes 8 to 10 participating in either of the two rounds.

All students from Class VIII to X in CBSE affiliated schools are eligible to participate in Science Challenge in Round One (Phase 1). Schools must register students of classes 8 to 10 for this round. Details for registration for this Science Challenge are given in Annexure – 1.

For the second stage (2nd Phase) of this challenge, each CBSE board affiliated school registered in the first stage can nominate up to 6 already registered students (best 02 students from each participating class).

The Science Challenge Paper will consist of a variety of stimulants followed by MCQs.

The task for the participating students in this science challenge will focus on both speed and accuracy.

All the participants of the second round of science challenge will be issued online participation certificates by the board. The best performing students of this challenge will be given appreciation certificates.
