With this change, students of class 10 can expect a gap of only one or two days between their CBSE board exam papers, depending on their chosen subjects. This would significantly reduce the current gap, which can extend to 6 or 10 days. The results of the first phase of the CBSE 10th board exam are expected to be declared by April 20, while the second phase board exam results will be declared by June 30.
No Separate Supplementary Exams
The board has clarified that this system will not be used for separate CBSE 10th supplementary exams. Rather, the second session of the board exam (May 2026) will be used as a supplementary exam for those who wish to improve their results. Special exams of any kind will not be allowed under any circumstances.
The exam conducting authority has decided that internal and practical assessments will be conducted only once every academic year. After the preliminary exam is over in February or March, no additional certificate will be given.
