Tips 1: Understand the CBSE Board Class 10 English Exam Pattern
Before writing the answers, it is important to know the CBSE Class 10 English Subject Exam Pattern for the board exam 2025. The CBSE 10th English paper is divided into three sections:
Section A | Reading Comprehension (20 marks) |
Section B | Writing & Grammar (30 marks) |
Section C | Literature (30 marks) |
If any student can manage the time well for all three sections of the English exam, then he/she can score good marks in the board exam.
Tips for Reading Comprehension (Section A)
All the students who are going to take the class 10th board exam will find a paragraph in the reading section. Read that paragraph carefully and the answer to the question given below is given in the same paragraph. Find it from the same paragraph and write it neatly and cleanly in your answer sheet.
- Follow the word limit mentioned in the question.
Tips for Writing & Grammar (Section B)
In the writing section, the student has to focus on the correct format. The format in which the letter is written is the same format in which you will write the letter in the exam as well so that they get good marks in the exam.
By looking at the question in the grammar section, you should know which chapter it belongs to, like whether it is a question of a verb or an article or a modal or a direct or indirect speech, and you have to answer that question correctly by following the rules of the chapter to which the question belongs.
Tips for Literature (Section A)
In the literature section, you will get some questions from the prose section and some from the poetry section which you must have studied in school. Now write the answer to that question in your language according to whatever you have studied.
