The Ministry of Education (MoE) has announced that it will conduct board exams twice a year from the academic session 2025-26 session and students of 10th and 12th will be allowed to retain the best marks. The new curriculum framework as per the National Education Policy 2020 (released in the year 2020) is ready and textbooks will be developed for the 2024 academic session.
It states that students of classes 11 and 12 will have to study two languages, and at least one of them should be an Indian language. As per the updated curriculum framework, the choice of subjects for students of classes 11 and 12 will not be limited to streams like arts, science, and commerce to give students flexibility in choosing.
