The National Testing Agency (NTA) has outlined the NEET 2025 eligibility criteria in the official information bulletin of NEET UG 2025 available online on the official portal at neet.nta.nic.in. These eligibility criteria define the necessary educational qualifications, age limit, no. of attempts, and other requirements that candidates must fulfill to appear for the NEET UG 2025 exam. The NEET Undergraduate 2025 exam date has been set as May 4, 2025, with registration for NEET UG 2025 beginning on February 7 and closing on March 7, 2025. Candidates are advised to carefully review the eligibility criteria of NEET UG 2025 before applying, as only those who fulfill the specified requirements can complete the NEET registration process.
NEET UG Eligibility Criteria 2025: Age Limits
Applicants must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the first year of undergraduate medical course. Accordingly, the lower age limit for NEET UG 2025 shall be as under:

Upper Age Limit: According to the official letter No. U-11022/2/2022-UGMEB, dated 9/03/2022 received from the National Medical Commission (NMC), Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) regarding the upper age limit, there is no upper age limit for NEET UG 2025.
Indian citizens/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) wishing to pursue undergraduate medical courses in a foreign medical/dental institution will also have to qualify for NEET (UG).

The NEET UG 2025 attempt limit does not impose any restriction on the number of attempts for candidates.
